The Association aims to bring together professionals working to promote the mental health of infants, such as psychiatrists, psychotherapists, psychologists, social workers, nursery nurses, teachers, CPNs, health visitors, midwives, GPs, paediatricians and others.  

Close links between clinicians and researchers are particularly useful, while high profile professions could lend valuable support to those professionals which are at present undervalued.  

AIMH-UK plans to provide information to support those campaigning for resources for infants and their families and to promote infant mental health through publicity, strategic discussions and conferences.
